For those who are wondering how they can help outdoor cats in bad weather if they truly can’t take them in (even just for overnight), check out this pic on how to create simple shelters from storage bins

: O this would be really helpful

I volunteered at the Salvation Army center around here a couple years ago, helping families pick out toys. It was really fun and I thought I was doing a good thing until two men came in. They were in poor shape, they wore a lot of layers and their jackets and pants had dirt and dust on them. I think they had been sleeping outside. They were coming in to get food from the kitchen, and one of the staff members took them to another room that wasn’t the kitchen. After a while, they were both escorted out of the building. I learned later that day they were kicked out because the staff speculated they were a gay couple and didn’t want to cater to those kind of people.
I can’t even look at the bellringers without being ashamed of them. They help a lot of people, but I don’t want to contribute to a group that still considers homosexuality to be condemnatory.

reblogging again because I added my story

i want so badly to raise awareness about this but i fall short every year.
know where your charity change is going, kids.

fuck
I donated to those ignorant assholes last week >=(

His trippy ‘Adventure Time’ on Cartoon Network, about a boy and his magical dog, is a hit with kids and adults.

30 Under 30: Entertainment
Our look at the 30 people in entertainment who you should be watching is a mix of folks from the worlds of film, television, sports and video games. Our sports stars are people like LeBron Jameswho are already changing the game. Lou Imbriano of TrinityOne consultancy helped with those choices. For our video game picks Sims creator Will Wright helped us nominate young gamers.Gossip Girl producer Stephanie Savage and Relativity Media co- president Tucker Tooley weighed in with their picks for Hollywood stars.
The entertainment industry is rife with young people who could be considered up-and-coming. For the sake of this list we looked for slightly under-the-radar stars like Chloe Moretz who have the potential to earn $20 million paychecks and people who are building real businesses and brands around themselves like Donald Glover and Jonah Hill.
We also included two of Larry Ellison‘s children, David and Megan, because both are proving that not all rich kids come to Hollywood to throw their money away and party. David Ellison is helping Paramount finance big films like Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and his sister Megan recently picked up the rights to the Terminator franchise.
For more on the young people who are having an impact check out our other 30 Under 30 lists here.
